y/n’s legs bounced nervously as she watched the team fighting to gain possession of the puck and failing miserably because the rivals managed to score once again, leaving them 2-1.
“fuck!” she cursed when the intermission started. “i’m going to throw up, i swear”
“calm down, they can still turn it around.” tara tried to be positive, despite being nervous for chad, her boyfriend.
“i just want eth to win this goddamn championship. doing it in his rookie year would be amazing.”
“an ethan fan? he’s great. he played a huge part on the team making it to the playoffs, so his rookie year will still be amazing no matter what.” the guy that sat beside her said.
y/n turned to face him, a proud smile on her face. “i’m his biggest fan actually.” she said, which was true. she was, always had and always will be her best friend’s number one fan. “and you’re right, his rookie year is one of the best. still want him to get the stanley cup tho.”
“you and me both. but your friend is right, we still have 30 minutes to turn it around.”
“keeping my fingers crossed.” she showed him her crossed fingers and he did the same.
“okay, i just gotta say it. do i know you? you seem really familiar but i can’t put my finger on it.”
y/n blushed under his scrutiny. “um, i’m y/n. ethan’s childhood best friend.”
“oh! that’s where i know you from. his instagram. my boyfriend is always stalking his social media, he’s got a big fat crush.” they both chuckled. “it’s nice to meet you.”
“you too!”
ethan, who was watching the scene from a couple of feet away, clenched his jaw. his urge to call security to ask them to not-so-gently scort the stranger—who was shamelessly flirting with his girl—outside was almost uncontrollable.
“you need to calm down.” chad said. “they’re just talking.”
“they’re laughing, chad. he’s making her laugh at my game.” ethan growled.
“okay. you’re actually growling, you’ve gone ins- oh dear god.” chad’s panicked voice made him unglue his eyes from the stands. his friend was looking up at something, and ethan raised his head to see what made him act that way.
there, on the screen of the arena, were the shocked faces of y/n and the stranger. the letters on top read ‘kiss cam’.
“um, how do we get out of this?” y/n asked.
he took a deep breath “we can just say no, right? it’s not like they’re going to force us.”
y/n nodded which ethan completely mistook it for her giving consent, and he just saw red. before chad could stop him, he skated towards the stans and hit the glass that separated the seats and the rink with force, startling his best friend and the guy, who were both sitting in the first row.
“um, hi?” y/n asked, confused by ethan’s pissed off face.
“don’t you fucking kiss him.” he said with a frown on his face and glaring at the guy, who quickly raised his hands and yelled “i have a boyfriend!” with a voice so terrified and high that y/n had to bite her lip to not laugh.
the hockey player’s demeanour changed from angry to embarassed “oh… i saw you talk… and you nodded- i thought—“
“—that i was going to kiss him in front of the whole arena.” she finished his sentence. “yeah, i got that. what’s got you so furious, though? you almost scared my new friend to death.”
“well, i- i wasn’t sure you’d be okay kissing a stranger.” he chuckled nervously.
“you thought i was consenting when i nodded, so try again. why were you so pissed, landry? no bullshit.” y/n crossed her arms in front of her chest.
“because i don’t want you kissing someone else.” he admitted, not daring to look her in the eye.
her face softened. “well, i don’t want to kiss anyone but you, so…” she confessed in return.
warmth spread through his cheeks and the nervousness faded when he met her smiling face. “please stand in that fucking chair so i can do what i’ve been wanting for a long long time.”
her body bent over the pixie glass and ethan didn’t have to rise his head too much to meet her lips. the crowd’s cheers were drown by the thundering of their own hearts. y/n’s hands were shaking as she caressed his cheeks once they had to pull apart because of the awkward position.
“now, rookie, you gotta turn this game around, okay?” she kissed his nose before climbing off the seat. “i have faith in you.”
“i’m not stopping until i lift that stanley cup.” he did the soldier motion with his hand, making her laugh. “to have the girl and the cup sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?”
“okay, lover boy, that was quite a half time show.” chad arrived to his side. he looked at the boy sitting next to y/n and frowned. “jesus, you look kinda pale.”
“for a moment i saw my life flashing before my eyes. i thought he was going to kill me.” he answered, stumbling over some words.
“eth? he’s only tough on the ice. outside? he’s a huge teddy bear.” y/n smiled lovingly at her now boyfriend.
the hockey player let out a dramatic gasp “shh, babe. my reputation!”
y/n rolled her eyes. “you’re a dork.”
“but i’m your dork.”
the girl gaged. “get out of my sight.” she waved with her hand, acting disgusted by his cheesiness.
“i love you, too.” he winked before skating away.
y/n sat down with a content smile on her face. she couldn’t believe that just actually happened. she’s spent years and years pining after him and thinking they would never be more than friends, and now ethan was there, after having confessed his feelings in front of a whole arena, dedicating his goals to her.

BABE, COUKD U WRITE HC ABOUT WHAT ETHANS LIKE IN BED? his kinks, and shit. i’m so desperate and i LOVE ur work. i’ve re-read all of them like a million times
Warnings: ethan in bed. that's it.
➳First things first: buddy is obsessed with your body.
➳Like seriously, right from the start he’d be groping you, gripping you and squeezing you anywhere he could.
➳And that was just when you were kissing.
➳It should come as no surprise that he is an ass man.
➳Whenever you’re on top of him or even under him his hands are tightly placed there, always.
➳His favorite position is cowgirl, obviously, as he can grip your ass while also staring at your bare front.
➳It also gives him the perfect opportunity to suck marks onto the tops of your breasts (his favorite place to mark you).
➳Another place he loves sucking is your inner thighs.
➳The sight of the purple marks littered on your skin in various places just drives him wild.
➳This man has the biggest praise kink to ever exist.
➳Whether it’s him giving the praises or receiving them, he loves them.
➳Nothing gets him off like the sound of your pretty and kind voice praising him in the middle of doing something so dirty, like getting lost between your legs and devouring his favorite taste.
➳And when you go down on him?
➳He just can’t help but comment on how pretty you look with drool covering your lips.
➳How pretty your mouth looks when it’s stuffed full of him.
➳“You’re taking me so well, baby, can hardly fit all the way in.”
➳“Fuck, just like that, I love your tight mouth so much.”
➳“You’re so pretty, fuck, I love you.”
➳He can’t help but tell you how much he loves you, how much much he loves how good you are to him, for him.
➳God, does he love you.
➳Overall he’s pretty ‘vanilla’ in bed, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring.
➳Not at all.
➳Whether he’s going down on you or in you, he loves when you tug on his hair.
➳And he loves when you really go for it and leave his head sore with the memory of your hand’s relentless pulling.
➳He’s also a fan of spitting.
➳Of any kind, really.
➳Spitting on your slit before licking it back up.
➳Spitting on his length before wrapping your mouth around it.
➳Spitting directly into your mouth then watching you swallow it.
➳Borderline breeding kink, tbh.
➳He loves the thought of filling you up so good and you taking it so well that it results in you getting knocked up.
➳You’re on the pill, of course, but the thought still turned him on tremendously.
➳One day, he was going to get you pregnant.
➳Now, his stamina is insane.
➳He refuses to get off without making you come at least twice, and even then it only took about three minutes for him to get hard again.
➳He can go for hours, whether it be with just his tongue pleasuring you or his dick, the man just doesn’t let up.
➳And the sounds you make in bed? Oh boy.
➳They drive him insane.
➳He loves how you moan his name, cry out that you’re going to come or whimper when you’re overstimulated.
➳He’s pretty vocal, as well.
➳A plethora of grunts, groans and whines leave him, too.
➳It’s pretty often you find yourself in bed with him.
➳I think it’s pretty clear that the both of you just love coaxing those sounds out of one another.
➳He is also into a fair bit of choking, but only when he is the one doing it.
➳He prefers to be in control.
➳A soft dom, if you will.
➳Ethan’s sex drive is high as fuck in his prime time.
➳Seriously, it’s like an every other day occurrence.
➳School is stressing him out? Guess who he’s taking it out on?
➳He’s really proud of something he did? Guess who he’s celebrating with?
➳Some prick in his class talked about you the wrong way? Guess who he’s marking up just to prove a point?
➳Overall, don’t expect to get much sleep when you have a boyfriend who is as sex driven as Ethan is.

+thank you for the kind words <3

update 11/21
actual serious pinned because some people dont Understand the other one apparently. i talk about serious things and that does include gore and essentially anything that would need a tw. huge gore draw-er also. serious things basically. most if not all portrayal of mental illnesses is based on my own experiences so do not come here saying you dont like how i show it. that being said my blog is not all entirely about that and its mostly silly and or shitposts actually. also i actually dont usually tw things uhmm. were playing roulette here. basically if you get triggered by anything i wouldnt recommend being here its always a 50/50 on if i post something silly or traumatic. dont vent in my inbox unprompted i do not fucking care i will not respond and you will only make me uncomfortable. dont be weirdly sexual at me!! i am a minor!!! i dont fucking care nor want to hear about your sex life or about your fantasies or your private areas!!!!!!! dont shove weird relationship statuses onto me either. i am not your family i am a stranger on the internet
do Not post my art uncredited unless ur a mutual or i say its fine im serious idgaf if its just a silly doodle
standard dni i guess. racists terfs homophobes proshippers zoophiles. all that. also people that ship Real Life People Instead Of The Characters. youre all fucking weird and i dont want you here ill actively make fun of you and then block
i am pro endo and i have endo friends so if you dont like that its ultimately up to you if you wanna be here or not. most htfasj fans have me blocked but if you are one and you dont ur on thin ice bro. im not forgiving any of you for fucking jumping me for saying i wasnt a fan of it. also please for the love of god if you ship glsneeg with any of the other characters do Not talk to me about it because there is a good chance i will throw up in my mouth and block you. glanboo/hetch shippers on thin ice. guy who came up with that kind of ruined it for me and now it just makes me feel uncomfortable most of the time
i have autism and im gay and i use faggot. i have some other problems that will fuck me up or that ill talk about sometimes but thats all you really need to know so im not going to dox my medical problems here
less important stuff under cut heart emoji
nearly everyone i interact with calls me sneegen. idc if new people do its basically my government name atp
this blog is genloss themed but also i talk about my genloss ocs more than the actual thing now 😓 still a huge genloss fan but sneeg and frank are the only guys ill ever talk about in there and i will throw up slash negative if i have to talk about glanboo. do NOT come here asking about glanboo unless ur a mutual im serious. i take sneeg/frank and the horror that comes with it so violently seriously and overall theres a few genloss ships i like so if ur one of those guys that think any shipping is weird you probably wont like it here. also i usually dont use any of the main tags for. anything i post. if you wanna find something youre stuck to manually searching just like everyone else sorry
kind of multifandom i guess. i have moments where i get really fixated on other media and i post about it for a bit. sneegsnag is usually a common factor in this. heavily into marble hornets creepypastas tmnt dantdm jacksepticeye and markiplier. both of their ego content and any of marks projects by extension. not into ethan nestor As Much but he is included and so is blankgameplays. i like qsmp but if i talk about it its only ever abt qsneeg or qcharlie or qdantdm and his family sometimes. osmp enjoyer but again ill only talk about sneeg if i talk about it at all
the biggest music enjoyer in the world guys. not a professional but i will talk about songs i like sometimes. tfb and teenage disaster mostly i think. maybe typhoon and bcnr also. maybe even alot of midwest emo because im a loser. im literally tfbs biggest fan guys
for my dumbass ocs i do talk about and draw them Alot. and theres alot of heavy stuff in their stories so like. if you get badly triggered by gore or murder especially i wouldnt. recommend reading into them too much. but idrk why youd be here if you did thats like my whole thing really. i dont usually talk about the actual triggering stuff in their stories i think at most ill make a vague comment that implies something but thats about it
you are allowed to draw and write and make hcs and aus for my guys i actually actively encourage it and also show me when you do i think its wonderful. ill talk about them forever if you ever wanna know something just ask and theres a 85% chance ill actually answer it
the only things im 100% serious about for my ocs is that theres canon ships for a reason. i do not give a FUCK if you think a different one is better or interesting because its not. if you come into my asks shipping anything that isnt canon im actually going to block you. im very nitpicky about this because they are My creations and every single thing about them is heavily important to me. also if you baby or demonize any of my ocs im allowed to kill you legally btw.
I DONT GIVE A DAMN IF YOU WANT MY OCS CARNALLY!!! there are certain times where i wont mind if you say stuff like that about them just DONT TELL ME ALL THE TIME!!! it is funny sometimes and sometimes i may encourage it but please god dont tell me how you want to fuck them in graphic detail unprompted. also if thats the only thing you talk to me about and you dont actually bother to know them as characters i will probably block you!!!!
if you want my ocs included in your oc lore please just. Talk To Me. about it. please. if youre normal and dont violently misinterpret my ocs ill probably be okay with it just TALK TO ME ABOUT IT
heavy encouragement to use all your braincells to interpret my ocs characters properly. idk how much more mischaracterizing in my inbox i can take

hello moonie :] i listened to the songs u gave me and !
i really really luved 'how soon is now?' by the smiths and i definitely need to listen to them more !!! im so obsessed w how he sings certain lyrics it sounds So nice (literally listneing to the song rn as i type lol)
u were right abt me enjoying 'crybaby' by destroy boys a lot as i already know that song and its one of the 2 or 3 songs i know from them lol . its really really good
i Immediately added 'saturnine' to my main playlist once it was over !! the chorus is So nice to listen to i really luved it !
i had forgotten u said u were going for the vibe of floating in the ocean and when listening to 'andromeda' i literally thought 'this song feels like floating down a river or something' . the way she sings 'let me in if i break / and be quiet if i shatter' was So. gah . its good.
as for my recommendations:
summertime - my chemical romance
heaven, iowa - fall out boy
unpunishable - ethel cain (the chorus of this song is Everything)
so far so fake - pierce the veil (1:30-on, but especially 2:25-~3:00 is Beautiful. i . luv guitars .)
and bonus song because its all that stuck in my head currently : bury me in black (demo) - my chemical romance . very different from the other ones lol .
ok that is all i think :> i hope your week is good and not stressful and that any writing block u may have is broken <33 also do not worry about answering this quickly i am So ok w patiently waiting until ur able to answer please do not feel bad if it takes a while ok byebye ily
yes omg ok i am such a fan of the smiths . which is probably my biggest red flag LOL but i cant help it !!!! theyre so good !!!!! and i think half of it is just how morrisey sings some certain words . he is such an asshole but Damn it if he doesnt make his songs unique .
i think u already knowing and liking the song is so crazy but also . i am kind of proud of myself for guessing right on ur taste :D
im honored !!!! and yes i have a whole playlist about just . songs that feel like floating around on some mystical beach, its based on this freaky dream i had but . if u ever want it ...
ohhh i should say . i am in fact an mcr and fob fan LOL . i have already listened to both those songs, summertime is sososoooo good but so is the entire album, and ive been loving the new fob album :D i think my personal favorite is maybe . well ok i have three LOL "love from the other side", "heartbreak feels so good", and "i am my own muse" ofc . i feel like i picked the most popular ones 😭 theyll probably change ! also . completely unrelated omg but ive been . kind of . crushing on a specific white man ok and specifically ethan hawke and then imagine my surprise when i see him on the album ??:W?? what the hell was that . what the he lll . anyway .
ok i listened to unpunishable and i love love loveeeeed the section after 3:30-ish . like it was soo like . metallic sounding with her vocals and the ringing guitar and it was just so everything . it made me want to write something crazy so badly, it was amazing !!! ive only heard a few songs by her but this one is definitely top three for me i think . wow
i did have . a pierce the veil phase for like fiveseconds in middle school LOL but i enjoyed this one !!! i got flashbacks to 2018 but i really did enjoy it :D i think ill always like their sound, its always so . indulgent . i did really like the bit at 2:25-3:00, i didnt even realize u commented on it LOL i was like Wow . wow . it was so so good
oh i loveee bury me in black . that entire era will b so close to my heart forever i think and its just so . good . oh my god . the brash guitar and drums are soooo . i need them permanently playing forever and ever
ok sorry for giving u a whole essay 😭 i just had a lot to say i think LOL
but here are mine !!!!
if u liked how he sings certain lyrics then u would loveeee "a rush and push and the land is ours" by the smiths . the way he sings rush and push . oh boy
are u a fan of p!atd ? i think u would like them even tho i am brendon urie's biggest hater . but ryan ross ... loml . anyway . "new perspective" is so underrated and one of my favorites, very reminiscent of the 2000s pop punk scene !
also a more like . "weird" sounding song but its so so good . "girls & boys" by blur ! its one of their more popular songs but it holds up so so well
and . in honor of me purchasing a radiohead poster . i think u would love radiohead . i recommend . "just" . a popular song but i think u would absolutely enjoy it and My Bad if u have already heard it before . if u have i would not be surprised !!! i think it trended on tiktok for a second ? idk
anyway . thank u so much for being so so patient, it means everything to me :) i adore the songs u recommend me and i was kind of itching to answer this to get some more recs LOL . ok byebye ilyt !!!!!!

Hiii! Thank you for keeping this fandom alive! I hope you're feeling better now, get well soon!
I wanted to request hcs about watching horror movie with the boys but the reader is not scared at all, they're just vibing
You don't have to write it if you don't like the request or if you don't feel good enough 💞💞💞
a/n: hi!! you’re so sweet, thank you! i’m sorry for putting off this request for so long, i wanted to recover first, so if you’re still following my blog here it is! thank you so much for your kind words and i hope you enjoy!
ethan
- it wasn’t actually planned to watch a horror movie at first, but when you and ethan got to the theatres you realized that the movie that u guys planned to watch had actually just sold out of seats
- and ethan was kind of bummed over it bc he was looking forward to a movie date with u but he got over it quickly, and offered u to choose one instead
- u took a peak at the movie posters nearby and saw one that caught ur eye and you were like. that one.
- he doesn’t really think much of it honestly he’s like “okay! whatever u say” cos let’s be honest he just wants to spend time w u he didn’t come for the movie he don’t care
- so when you guys finally took ur seats and started watching, ethan didn’t know what to expect at all so when the jumpscare came he jolted in his seat and was like WHAT THE FUCK
- he turns to u, expecting u to have the same reaction, but u just kept watching??? not even bothering to look his way LMAOOO
- so ethan’s kind of surprised but he’s proud!! he has a s/o that doesn’t get scared easily what a badass
- after that first jumpscare he relaxes back into his chair and all the scary scenes that happened afterwards he glances at you (and u still had no reaction) n he can’t help but feel at awe at how both invested and nonchalant u were at the movie bc it had ethan lowkey shaking in his seat LOL
- when the movie finished u were talking about just how good the movie was while u guys walked home, and ethan was like ,,,hey that didn’t scare you at all? and you replied “ofc not, i don’t get scared by horror movies!” while beaming at him
- and u look good as fuck smiling so ethan feels his face grow warm n ykw he’s happy he learned something new about u
- also he’s lowkey impressed so W. he now has an additional excuse to bring u on more dates
harry
- horror movies don’t scare this boy but he isn’t the biggest fan of them either
- so when you guys were crashing at harry’s house, u decided to watch a movie and harry’s fine with it bc he’s with u :D
- and there was a new movie trending in the program he uses to watch movies n it interested u so u asked if he could watch it with u
- harry’s whipped so obviously he says to go ahead
- like ethan, he doesn’t know what to expect at first but harry quickly realized it was a horror movie about 1/3 into the story
- he nudges u and tells u that it was going to be a horror movie (he wasn’t sure if u were into that sort of stuff) he’s surprised when u reassure him that it’s fine
- like said before he’s not a huge fan of horror movies even tho he could handle them as well u can, so he huddles next to u and wraps a large blanket around the two of u with a bowl of snacks
- u guys just relax the entire time bc no matter how terrifying the movie got harry’s warmth was such an overwhelming, comfortable presence so it didn’t matter at all
- after the movie ended, u guys got way too comfortable and u both really didn’t want to move, so it ended up as a horror movie binge night with you sitting on his lap, arms wrapped around ur waist with the blanket wrapped around harry’s head as u two continued to invest urselves in the movie
- drifted off to sleep at around 5 am fucked up sleep schedule gang wya
- horror movies would usually induce nightmares or sleepless nights, but u guys slept peacefully with a good dream that night (or morning, since the sun was basically rising by the times u guys slept lol)
zion
- sneaky lil shit
- zion thinks he’s slick because u know the basic “watch a horror movie with ur s/o, it’s so cute when they burrow into your arms so they feel like they’re protected!!!”
- and he thinks he’s a genius so he invites u over to his place to watch one of the more scarier movies
- he’s a “gentleman” somewhat so he chooses a more tame movie, like one with just one or two jumpscares
- you both were huddled in front of the television screen and zion kept touching shoulders with u and making snarky remarks like “huh y/n u scared yet? i bet ur scared >:)”
- however, he underestimated the horror movie’s scary level so when the first jumpscare came around he’s caught off guard
- expected u to hug his waist or something in reaction but he’s genuinely surprised when u just kept watching on like it was nothing
- after the movie ends, you said “damn that was it?? zion i expected more i thought u were going to show me a scary movie!!”
- tbh all zion hears is more time with u so he’s like BET and chooses the next few horror movies that were on and doesn’t even bother to watch them, he’s just staring at u intensely to see if u have any reaction
- there wasn’t
- he was pretty sad that his plan to get u into his arms failed but he takes pride in having a s/o that can watch scary stuff with ease
- also he’s a huge fan of horror themes so now there is a golden opportunity to now have u play scary games with him if ur interested of course
- secretly praising himself for inviting u to watch horror movies bc now he gets to share his hobbies with u!!!
- but zion is extremely easy to read so u already figured out his secret plan all along
- “just ask me to cUDDLE WITH U LIKE A NORMAL PERSON U IDIOT”
- “YOU FIGURED IT OUT???”
eugene
- you were actually the one who suggested watching a horror movie with him
- you guys took a trip to the theatres but none of u guys had anything particular in mind which was like mind boggling to eugene cos he was like WAIT,,, I THOUGHT WE CAME HERE BC U KNEW WHAT TO WATCH and u were like NO WAY ME TOO ???
- so obviously there was some improvisation and u did the suggestion
- and eugene’s like “pfffft u think u can handle a scary movie??”
- he’s not easily scared tho, he has the “well it’s just a movie, it can’t hurt me” mindset so he doesn’t mind watching a horror movie at all
- he’s more concerned about you honestly, but yk him he’s not gonna say it out loud >:( tsundere looking ass
- and obv since none of u guys minded u went ahead and seated ourselves in the movies
- eugene’s relaxed and all,,, but he does get quite jumpy whenever an unexpected scene happens
- so when they rolled around he made an audible gasp and glanced at u immediately
- u were already looking at him with an amused face bc ur normally tsundere bf just got jumpscared LOOOL
- eugene doesn’t really care if u were or weren’t scared by the movies
- but eugene was like WOWWWWWW Y/N I SEE HOW IT IS when he saw u laughing at him
- watched the rest of the movie with him sulking but u did hold his hand after tho (begrudgingly LOL)
- was jokingly mad at you but after the movie ends, he presses a kiss to your cheek and asked if u wanted to watch another in the theatres after u guys refilled ur snacks
lawrence
- honestly, his thought process was the exact same as zion’s
- lawrence enjoys having u in his arms while ur vulnerable bc he likes the idea of being ur protector
- he’s far far more discreet about it and purposefully leads u to watch a movie with him, and chooses a movie with an innocent looking poster so u wouldn’t see what was coming >:D
- he thinks your innocence is adorable so he’s super eager to show u a scary movie
- lawrence already knows what’s going to happen in the movie so he’s super prepared and he’s honestly only staring at you
- but when u were just there relaxing and calmly watching the movie with some people getting bludgeoned or something lawrence was like,, “this isn’t part of the plan HOLD UP”
- kind of disappointed that there wasn’t any reaction but you guys made it up afterwards because when u exited the movie theater with your arm around his, you were excitedly talking about the entire thing and you said something like “lawrence!!! i didn’t know you were into horror movies, you picked such a good one!”
- his disappointment washes off immediately because seeing your face light up was so cute and it was 100% more worth it than some cheap tactic ironic lawrence
- he nuzzles your hair and replies that he’d knew that u’d like it (he did not)
- lawrence comes up with like,,, 294713 more plans to get cuddles from u after
- but you see through it bc he’s cute when he’s needy so let it slide plsplspls and give my favorite psycho some love <3

hi! i’m really new to like this side of fandoms, i’ve watched mark for a few months and then found unus annus and now am a big fan of ethan, but I just wanted to ask, can you explain the whole backflip boy thing? like, i know that ethan did a backflip at a panel I think and that’s how they met, but is there any more? what’s the general history between mark and ethan?
also, do you have any recommendations of their content to watch? whether with both mark and ethan or just one of them?
sorry for asking so many questions!!!! i’m really excited to find someone/something new, and i’m glad i stumbled upon ur blog to help introduce me a little :) thanks <3
I'd be honored!
Ethan's been a big fan of Mark since he started his channel. In the beginning Mark was one of a couple people that inspired him to really start making content.
In 2014, Ethan went to PAX East, where he met Mark outside. He filmed the whole thing in a vlog, but it seems to be lost to the times (I wouldn't be surprised if he privated it)
He met Mark, said hi, they took a selfie (it's so awkward) and then Ethan asked to do a backflip for him. Mark was all "Oh cool, yeah, but please God be careful" so Ethan backed up and did a backflip in a crowd of people
And then he went back over to Mark, asked him for a hug, started saying how he's one of his biggest inspirations and all that sappy shit (he starts crying)
Anyway so then the next year, Ethan goes back to PAX and actually goes to Mark's panel. They're taking questions so Ethan flags Bob down, tells him that he wants to do a backflip for Mark (in Ethan's recollection "Bob, Bob, I have to do a backflip for Mark" ) and so he runs up to the front of the room (here's the link)
After hugging "Jack", he tries to hug Mark and he jokes about calling security because he hugged Jack and doesn't get to hug him. Anyway so Ethan backs down off stage, Mark asks him what he wants but Ethan's too starstruck to tell him, so Mark says "you're backflip dude right?" And Ethan giggles.
Mark turns towards the audience and says "he did a backflip for me last year" and then they blab for another couple seconds before Ethan does the backflip while the whole audience is chanting "backflip" and Mark is yelling "don't kill yourself" so yeah...
Then they hung out together at Indy Pop Con and Dave and Buster's for Mark's birthday just a few months later (crazy how things work)
Yeah so at that point Ethan was 18 and had just graduated high school. In early October of 2016, Mark calls Ethan and asks him if he wants to move to LA to make videos. Ethan, obviously, quits his job as a manager at a BBQ restaurant and says yes. (Video link)
And then in November, he moves to LA, gets an apartment, and starts recording videos with Mark, Tyler, Amy, Kathryn, etc.
Obviously you can probably figure out where it goes from here. They film together, they do charity streams, they do A Date With Markiplier, go on tour, Who Killed Markiplier, etc. And then Ethan quits as Mark's editor at the end of 2018. (The tour lasted almost 2 years for the record) He's actually making things for his channel and his channel alone.
They've talked about it before, but at that point, both Mark and Ethan were excited to see what he would do with his channel. Mark said he was disappointed, Ethan said he felt stuck. They recorded Markiplier Makes throughout the entire time and Ethan's mental health was very clearly not great.
In the first 7 months of 2019, they record together 4 times. (One is for Heist, 2 are Markiplier Makes, one is on the 3 peens podcast). In September, Ethan's recording a video where he eats not-peanut peanut butter but doesn't have anything to compare it to, so he texts Mark. Mark comes over and they film the video.
In October, Mark is busy promoting Heist. Ethan's back to making things on his own, but said at this point, he and Mark had been reminded how much fun they have recording videos together. On the 30th, Heist comes out, and Mark's eyes are set on the next project.
They're at Buffalo Wild Wings. Ethan told Mark he wants to make a second channel for non-gaming videos. Mark says he has an idea for a self-distructing channel. They meet up to discuss.
They laugh about the name and get planning and filming. They film two weeks worth of content before getting too excited and starting the channel publicly.
And then the rest is pretty much up to now. Crazy how their story worked out, but I'm glad it did.

Hi Mariah! I just wanna say I'm a huge fan and I love your personality and your blog. I'm new to Tumblr and I was just wondering if you could write a little smut blurb on fucking Grayson in the back of his Bronco. I don't know who's "lane" your in but I mean you don't have to write it if you don't want to. But it would really make my day since it's been shitty. I love you k bye

Proving them incorrect: Jonah Davis' source of inspiration
uring the summer before his junior year of high school, Cal outfielder Jonah Davis traveled to Palo Alto, California where he attended Stanford’s high school baseball camp. At the end of the session, camp instructors evaluated each player by giving them a rating based off their performance. Like many of the other campers, Jonah anxiously examined his rating the moment it was handed out.
“They gave me a four out of 10 at the end of camp, which meant that I could definitely be a Division III baseball player with slight potential to be a Division-II player,” Jonah reflects. “Proving people wrong is probably the greatest thing you can do in any sport.”
An undersized outfielder who only hit five home runs in his high school career, it’s easy to understand why scouts and recruiters would question Jonah’s chances at becoming a Division-II outfielder, let alone a serviceable player at the Division-I level. When he attended camp that summer, he still hadn’t finished growing to the 5-foot-10 frame that he has today.
Ethan Epstein/Senior Staff
But now as a sophomore utility outfielder for the Bears, Jonah has not only become an integral part of Cal’s baseball team, but his longtime dream of becoming a Major League Baseball player doesn’t seem as far away as it did just a couple years ago.
He isn’t satisfied with where he’s at. But in time — with a combination of hard work and doubters who continue to fuel his focus — he believes he will be. That’s the motto that has gotten him this far already.
onah Davis was born in New York City, to parents Anthony Davis and Cindy Aaronson-Davis, two prominent music teachers. Cindy is an opera and voice teacher, while Anthony is a composer and jazz pianist who teaches music at the University of California, San Diego. While Jonah ultimately prioritized baseball over music lessons, his family’s musical background became a big part of his identity too. At just 9 years old, he sang in opera created by his father, “Wakonda’s Dream,” and participated in a San Diego children’s choir — all while making it to baseball practice on time.
“He’s a very talented musician,” Anthony says. “He used to play piano and guitar, but sports sort of took over his life and he became more devoted to that the last few years.”
Before Jonah’s birth, the Davis’s were settled in New York City where they thrived as a part of the music industry. But after Anthony received a job offer to be a professor at UCSD, the family decided to move out west and raise Jonah — at the time only one — in one of California’s most beautiful cities. This is where Jonah’s baseball story began.
Despite not playing sports themselves, Jonah’s parents were in fact big baseball fans. While it was tough for Cindy, a Mets fan, and Anthony, a Yankees fan, to leave behind New York’s bustling baseball atmosphere, it helped that San Diegans not only embraced their hometown team — the Padres — but were also a part of a very competitive neighborhood baseball environment, something that Jonah learned to appreciate.
“For whatever reason, baseball just became my main sport, and it’s so competitive in San Diego,” Jonah recalls. “I think it was just natural growing up in San Diego and the fact that (San Diegans) love sports too, it was kind of a perfect match.”
While he was never the biggest or strongest player on the field, Jonah impressed his coaches and parents with his unusual toughness. During a youth travel ball tournament in Cooperstown, New York, he was hit in the face by a pitch that got away, scaring not only his parents but his typically stalwart coach as well.
“We were standing on the side and we saw him get hit and (he) went down,” Cindy recalls. “And when his coach ran over to him and screamed ‘Medic!’ that was the most panicked I’ve ever been …; For months, his face made him look like an alien, but he continued to play.”
Jonah spent that night in the hospital with his worried parents by his side, but the next morning, he declared himself ready to play, swollen face and all. When the team offered him a special helmet with a mask in front to use while at-bat, he declined.
“That (incident) really showed me the desire and love of the game that he had, and how much he wanted to be a part of the team,” Anthony says. “And of course how tough he was. That type of thing has always been with him, that desire and motivation and will.”
All of those are traits that Cal head coach David Esquer appreciates seeing from one of his younger players.
“Jonah brings the competitiveness that we need (on this team),” Esquer says. “He continues to improve his game and is very diligent and works hard to go along with his talent. You can really see that he put a lot of preparation before he came (to Cal).”
As much as Jonah is determined to make himself the best player that he can be, he knows that the odds are stacked against him. Less than one percent of high school players will eventually be drafted by an MLB team, and only a slightly larger percentage of those players make it onto an NCAA team in the first place. To Jonah, those numbers don’t mean a thing.
Ethan Epstein/Senior Staff
“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of playing in the major leagues and there’s always those numbers being thrown around,” Jonah says. “Look at our team now together. We’re all already a part of that small percentage.”
If one looks closely, there are stars across all sports who don’t look like professional athletes. Take Houston Astros infielder Jose Altuve, who is listed at just 5 feet, 6 inches tall, but has morphed into one of the best players in all of baseball, finishing third in AL MVP voting this year.
It’s no secret: Jonah doesn’t look like the next cornerstone of a professional franchise. His parents weren’t former players, he doesn’t have one particular skill that jumps out, and he devotes just as much time to his academics as he does to his baseball career. But like Altuve and others who didn’t look like stars-in-the-making, Jonah persists, satisfied with his work ethic to the point where he’ll be OK if he falls short of his ultimate goal — as long as he keeps up the effort.
“When I hear the numbers, I can’t listen to (them) because that’s never going to help me,” Jonah says. “When I hopefully look back in a few years, I can say that I tried my hardest and say that it’s time to move on even if it doesn’t work out.”
In addition to his fearlessness on the field, what made Jonah stand out even more in high school was his dedication to his academics in the classroom. At San Diego’s Francis Parker High School — where he helped the Lancers win the 2014 CIF San Diego Section Championship — he was on the honor roll for three years.
As an upperclassmen, Jonah committed himself to even more hours in the batting cage, weight room and of course, his academics. How he managed to balance his time so efficiently is remarkable, but his father attributes his time management skills to his incredible focus.
“He’s amazingly focused,” Anthony says. “When he devotes himself and fights to do something, he does it, there’s no doubt about it.”
The work has paid off. He finished his high school career with a .447 batting average, and was nominated for Francis Parker’s Athletic Hall of Fame. He was named team MVP during his senior year and was a Second-Team All-CIF selection. Finally, he spent time on the scout teams of MLB teams Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals and the New York Yankees. The more successful he became, the more others looked up to him as a leader, a role that Jonah embraced.
“He’s always been a leader and a mentor on his high school team,” Cindy says, proudly. “Kids looked up to him and he always took the time to work with them.”
e overcame the ratings of his Stanford camp counselors when he received an athletic scholarship to play baseball for the University of Nevada, Reno, which he proudly accepted. After Wolfpack head coach Jay Johnson left to accept the same job at Arizona, Jonah realized that he didn’t want to play for a team after coach that had recruited him wasn’t there anymore. He decided to reevaluate his options.
“The thing about Cal is that you can look at other schools with great baseball programs,” Jonah says. “But the thing that those schools lack that Cal provides is obviously the No. 1 public education in America and in the world. What I’m learning at the end of the day will apply to whatever I do in the future.”
Although Jonah received offers from several schools in California, choosing Cal is a decision that he hasn’t regretted at all. Since coming to Berkeley last season, his positive attitude and maturity have made an impact with his teammates. Coming into the year as a freshman, Jonah didn’t receive the majority of his playing time until the second half of the season, when he only received spot starts and pinch-hit appearances. But despite the big adjustment from high school star to collegiate spot starter, Esquer admires Jonah’s passion and energy that he brings to the ball club.
“Jonah’s effort level and his hard work is where it starts,” Esquer says. “He cares about his performance and the team’s performance, and based on how hard he always works, the team follows that as a result.”
His effort level landed him a spot as a role player for the Bears, a utility outfielder who received a huge note of confidence when Esquer penciled him into the lineup for his first collegiate start in May of last season. It was the first game of a critical series on the road, at a place that Jonah was all too familiar with.
Stanford. The site of his frightful review.
“For the first couple of innings, I was a little nervous, but everybody was making me smile and making me laugh out there,” Jonah recalls. “I realized then that I was there to play baseball and shouldn’t be nervous. (Cal) recruited me for a reason and all I have to do is play my game.”
On the same field where he was told that playing Division I baseball would be a long shot, Jonah did just that. In his four at-bats that day, he hit two singles, the second of which knocked in a run that added to the Bears’ lead. He was rewarded again for his successful debut with another start the next day, and finished the year with 16 appearances, including three starts in right field.
“Once I got that first hit and also made a pretty nice play in right field, you realize that it’s the same thing just on a bigger stage,” Jonah says, with a smile. “I was able to help the team out, help secure that win, and it was just a surreal experience that I can’t wait to continue during my sophomore year.”
As Jonah continues through the next chapter in his baseball career — now in year two of his time at Cal — he isn’t just putting in the work for himself. His maturity reminds him that he has hundreds of supporters back home in San Diego to be thankful for. Without them, his dream would be just that. A dream.
“When I go to the weight room and when I go to the field, I’m thinking of my parents, my friends and everyone back home,” Jonah says. “That includes my teachers, my old travel ball coaches, and anyone who’s ever helped me along the way to get to where I am today and as I continue to progress as a player and as a person. That’s why I’m working so hard, for them.”
The best stories in sports involve underdogs achieving the impossible. Whenever Jonah Davis steps onto the field, however, he’ll never seem himself as one — no matter how camp counselors rate him. No matter what anyone else says, he won’t be slowing down anytime soon.

How do the Packers put the loss behind them?
Hi everybody. Thanks for logging on. Week 3, here we go. Let’s get to it.
Comment From Tom
Mike, why does this chat need a sponsor?
It doesn’t need one, but we’re glad to have one.
Comment From Guest
Martellus Bennett dropped a number of passes against Atlanta. Are you concerned about his part in the offense going forward?
I’m not sure Bennett is fully comfortable in this offense yet. I mentioned in Inbox this morning it took until Week 3 last year for Cook to start making things happen, and then unfortunately he got hurt. I think it’s coming with Marty.
Comment From Jeff P.
We’re on to Cincinnati… Love it. Can only pull that out every couple years
Once every 4, to be exact.
Comment From Nathan
Hi Mike! It’s way too early in the season to be doing this, but which player would you most like to see healthy on Sunday?
I think I’d like to have either Bakhtiari or Bulaga healthy if the Packers can’t have both. We know Spriggs is out multiple weeks, and playing McCray out of position is a tough deal. I’d like to see at least one of the tackles back out there this week, if I had my druthers.
Comment From Dean
Mike, when the Packers ‘work out’ a player, what does that entail?
Taking a prospect through some drills and conditioning workouts, kind of like a combine-style thing. They do it regularly, most of the time on Tuesdays. They’re constantly keeping and updating files on players they might want to sign later to the roster or practice squad.
Comment From Lori
What are your biggest concerns as the Pack faces the Bengals? Is confidence lacking?
I don’t sense any lack of confidence. With the Bengals, A.J. Green and Geno Atkins are the keys, one on each side of the ball. Don’t let either have a big day. That’s where I start.
Comment From Willie
The Bengals had extra time to prepare for the Packers. Do you see that as an advantage for them?
There’s always an advantage to extra rest. The Bengals are 0-2 out of the gate and have had extra time to think about getting their season back on track. I expect to see a highly motivated opponent on Sunday.
Comment From Ethan
FYI, the website showed the chat starting at 10am, but when you clicked on the page it said starting at 11am. Not sure if that’s happened last 2 weeks as I missed those chats.
Yeah, sorry about that. Last week I had to go at 10 a.m., and then it was going to be the same this week but I was able to change it back to 11. The media schedule for today changed late yesterday, so bear with me.
Comment From Ray L
Let’s get this one out early. Any injury updates?
Sgt. Schultz, right? I know nothing.
Comment From Joe
Do you think the “Nitro” package is just a gimmick defense that most OC’s will catch up to it quickly?
It’s not a gimmick. It’s a personnel package based on the offense’s personnel. If the O goes heavy run formation, the Packers won’t be in nitro, and if out of regular personnel they can run the ball down Green Bay’s throat, the Packers would have to adjust from nitro.
Comment From Guest
Do you think Patriots and Cowboys nations get as upset about loss one as Packers’ nation does?
I would imagine so. That’s the nature of it. Everyone gets all jacked up for the one game per week, and losses are disappointing. Other teams are better sometimes.
Comment From Matthew
Mike, thanks for your take on the replay system in this morning’s Insider Inbox. I wholeheartedly agree. Taking it one step further, it would be great if the replay official had no prior knowledge of the call on the field (if possible).
Interesting thought, but even that wouldn’t be necessary if they just changed the “indisputable” language of the rule. I’ve heard from many that disagree with my take because this is finally a rule that favors the defense. I don’t look at it that way. I look at it as trying to get the call right as often as possible.
Comment From Jerry Erie, Pa.
Rodgers has never beaten the Bengals yet. Is this weekend the time?
It better be. Packers can’t let this one get away.
Comment From Bruce
Mike, Two part question. Is this a critical year (#3) for Rollins and Randall as far as remaining on the Packers’ roster? SEcondly, how would you rate the Packers over the last several years as far as hitting on top draft choices (rounds 1-3)?
I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily critical for them remaining on the roster, because they’ll have one year left on their rookie contracts after this year. But their performances this year will determine the future path/decisions in free agency, draft, etc., at their position going forward.
Comment From Sean_C
Mike, I couldn’t help but be annoyed/aggravated when we were marching down the field in the 4th and the ATL defender “went down” with an injury. They were tired and on their heels. Is there not any rule or penalty for that? that seemed like a good cheap way to get a break for ur guys and get some subs in.
It happens all the time. I’m not really sure what anyone can do about it.
Comment From Willie
I disagree with you replay take this morning. The Falcons mobbed Rodgers and he got rid of the ball. Protect Rodgers and that play does not happen. Can we still get along even though we may disagree?
Sure. Even Rodgers admitted he needs to get the ball out quicker. The linemen were all cut blocking to get their defenders on the ground. That means the play was designed to be a quick throw. He can’t hold it like that and set himself up for the big hit.
Comment From Joe
Mike, I haven’t like the rub play since it first came into the West Coast Offense. It gives an unfair advantage to the receivers. Band it for good.
I hate those plays, too. This isn’t basketball.
Comment From Ray L
Looked like Rodgers had someone over the middle on the fumble play if he got it out quicker. Did you see that?
I did not, but I can take a look at the film later.
Comment From Linda P
Mike, If the Falcons are the best in the NFC at this point..early as it is, are the Pats the best in the AFC? Steelers and Bronco’s looked good.
Chiefs are right there, too. I think the AFC is harder to call right now, but I don’t think anyone in the NFC is as good as the Falcons … right now.
Comment From Ben
Will the referees hear from the league about the calls made in the game? Not to perseverate on last week — just curious in general. League wide, no one seems to be happy with the referees.
Teams send in plays to be reviewed all the time. It’s part of the process.
Comment From Dean
Mike if you had a chance to be a fly on the wall in the Packers draft room, would you? And of the last 5 drafts or so which year would you have liked to listen in?
I would love to do that sometime, and I requested it years ago, but no one was ever too keen on the idea.
Comment From Richard
I’m getting tired of everyone bashing the defense over Sunday night’s performance. the problem was that they got no help from the offense like they did against Seattle. Don’t you agree?
They didn’t get much help from the offense against Seattle either. 17 points, with a 6-yard TD drive after a turnover. I look for GB’s offense to hit its stride at home this week.
Comment From Jeff in Idaho
Hello Mike, 25 years ago Favre comes off the bench to win the game and life as a Packer fan has not been the same. I remember the day like it was yesterday.
I was playing in a college golf tournament and came into the clubhouse after my round to see the dramatics in the fourth quarter. I’ll never forget it either, even though at the time I didn’t really know what I was watching.
Comment From JD
I had a lot of respect for the work the backup tackles did on Sunday night. For anyone unhappy with their effort, go back and watch the Giants on Monday night. This is one of the reasons I believe Campen is a great coach. His players are always ready to give it a go and know what is expected.
I give Murphy and McCray a ton of credit for what they did, and you’re right, Campen deserves props too.
Comment From Mark
Mike, it seems the Packer’s injuries occur most on some type of artificial turf. With all the talk about player safety, is it time to make all surfaces uniform?
How can you? Several stadiums are indoors, where you can’t grow grass, and the outdoor teams with grass won’t want to switch.
Comment From Joe
Is Ty averaging over a 100 yards total offense per game? 1600 total yards is good for any back in the league.Isn’t it?
That would be a heck of a year, but the Packers need to sub for Montgomery more if they want him to last, and be effective, all the way through the season. McCarthy knows he can’t have this type of workload for 16 games.
Comment From Dennis
Were you as impressed as I was by the silence from the crowd in the 4th quarter? If the Falcons are the best team in the NFC, we were hot on their heels with an injured roster and their defense was gassed. If we can keep closer earlier, we can beat them.
To be honest, the place was emptying out. I hear traffic is awful in Atlanta, plus it was a night game, and with the score what it was … a lot of folks didn’t stick around.
Comment From Joe
Cook was a better fit for the Pack then Bennett but with the problems they now have at the Tackles sure nice to see him block.
Bennett is a very effective blocker, one of the better blocking TEs McCarthy has had, I think.
Comment From Razer
Given that injuries are inevitable, do you think we have enough depth on the D-Line?
Everybody would love to have more depth everywhere, but you only get 53 roster spots, and 46 on game day. No team can account for every scenario.
Comment From Ray N
Before we get too concerned about the Lions, consider the team they beat on Sunday night. The Giants’ O-line is epically bad, Manning is an aging increasingly immobile QB, and the G-men have not scored more than 20 points in 8 straight games. The Lions have improved but, before the start of the season, the Giants were arguably the most overrated team in the League …
I don’t follow the Giants closely, but it seemed their O-line was an issue last year, and I’m not sure what they did to address it. They didn’t add any dynamic running backs to help Eli, either. McAdoo will figure out a way to get it going, but for an 11-win team last year, they’re off to a really rough start.
Comment From Ben
Do you read other journalists’ articles about the Packers, or do you keep your head clear of all the other opinions?
I read a lot of other coverage of the team online. Other writers on this beat do a lot of good work and I appreciate the chance to learn things I might not have thought of on my own.
Comment From Picard90
I just finished reading the article on the interview with Eddie Lacy at ESPN, it’s really heartbreaking to see trolls piling on him for his struggles with weight. We need to remind ourselves that football players are human beings, too. I wish him the best of luck in his NFL journey. Now, I’m excited to see what our 3 rookie RBs bring to the table. I think Williams and Jones are off to a good start, do you agree?
I read the Lacy piece, too, and while it’s sad the way people attack others on social media, Lacy could just shut it all out, too. To each his own. As I said before with Monty’s workload, I think we’ll see more of Williams this week.
Comment From PAPackersFan
Just ONCE, I’d like to see us play Atlanta with a healthy roster. Start 2 O-linemen short, and then lose your best D-lineman and 2 WRs….. sheesh
Yeah, it was tough to hear 90 minutes before kickoff that both tackles were out. I wasn’t expecting that. Then losing Daniels and Nelson in the first quarter just piled on. Maybe next time GB can finally be healthy against them.
Comment From Jim_flat
Do you think the fact that there is a game next Thursday it will effect what injured players play Sunday?
I don’t think so, in the sense that if a player is cleared medically, I think he plays. How quickly he can bounce back to play again might be another matter.
Comment From Don H
I’m not worried. One game is not a trend. String together three sub-standard performances then we have trend to worry about. The game against CIN will go a long way toward defining the first quarter of the season …
With two home games coming up, Packers have to hit the quarter pole at 3-1.
Comment From Nathan
Who is Andy Dalton now? The guy who was a byword for mediocrity early in his career, or the one who was playing at a Pro Bowl level a couple years ago?
Hard to say. He’s won his share of games in this league. He didn’t suddenly forget how to play QB, and he’s got a dynamic target in Green Bay. I guess we’ll find out more Sunday.
Comment From JD
Kind of surprised that Jones got so many reps after Brice went down. With the way Evans performed in the preseason were you surprised and is this a result of his draft round or do you think he’s really surpassed Evans at this early point in the season?
I felt Jones was ahead of Evans on the safety depth chart, so I wasn’t surprised. I think we could be seeing more of Jones.
Comment From Ethan
Any chance we could ever get Mike and Wes in the chat? Or Wes has more important things to be doing, like stealing your lunch maybe?
haha
Comment From Rodney
Do you think we get to see King go one-on-one with Green this weekend?
At times, maybe, but I’m also looking to keep a safety over the top of Green and try to single-up on the other guys more often.
Comment From Ben
Hi Mike, what will the Packers have to do to put that loss behind them?
Win on Sunday. That’s it, that’s all.
Comment From Matt W
Do you think the Packers D keeps the Bengals out of the end zone for the 3rd straight week?
That would really get the wolves howling in Cincinnati. I think the Packers could do it, but just get the win, whatever it takes.
Comment From Joe
I’m sorry I see Sunday as a typical “trap game”
I’d actually think that if the Packers were 2-0 right now, not coming off a loss.
Comment From Matt W
Mike can you handle 2 post game Insider Inboxes next week? At least they are both home games.
It makes for late nights/early mornings, however I decide to do it, but I’ll do my best.
Comment From Joe
They were coming off loses last year when Indy came to town.
Right, and then they allowed a 99-yard kickoff return TD to start the game. So not doing that would be a great start to this one.
Comment From Jeff P.
This will be the Bengals first game with a new OC, do you think it will be feast or famine? Also how hot is Marvin Lewis’ seat? To me it seems like Bengals fans have wanted him gone for some time now?
The playoff record has hung over Lewis for along time, and if the decision on the OC doesn’t pan out, his seat will get hotter. But Lewis is a heck of a coach and he’ll remain in the NFL for a while yet, I imagine.
Comment From Kevin
Hi Spoff, thanks for the chat today. I was predicting before the season started that we’d be seeing Ty in an almost equal share of the RB touches with Williams. Do you think that will come to pass at some point, or was I just wrong again?
Montgomery is going to continue to be the main guy, but I expect a greater division of labor with Williams from here on.
Comment From George
I was pleasantly surprised with the play of King at CB… Going into this game I wasn’t all that high on the kid.
The Packers drafted him 33rd for a reason. There’s no doubting all his athletic talent. It’s too bad he had to miss almost the whole offseason program, but he’s clearly settling in now.
Comment From Dean
I’m hoping to see more of Jones in the Nitro at linebacker with Burnett back. Seems like Jones size and aggressiveness and Burnett’s experience would work well in that alignment.
I’m curious to see what the decisions are in that regard.
Comment From Linda P
Mike, Seems Like McAdo is on the hot seat. I read an article that said he is the worst head coach in the league. You know him. What do you think?
The worst? C’mon. The guy reached the playoffs last year in his first season at the helm. Beat a 13-3 Cowboys team twice. They’re off to a slow start, but McAdoo can coach. Like I said before, I just don’t see where they addressed their roster issues.
Comment From Lynn
When do we expect an update on injuries?
The first injury report will come out late today after practice, but tomorrow’s will be more meaningful, because it will be after a full-pads practice.
Comment From Guest
If Jordy and/or Cobb are limited, who do you see stepping up more within the wide receiver corps?
Other than Adams, I think it’s Allison. His first game was last week, and based on what he showed in camp and preseason, he’s a player on the rise.
Comment From Bruce
As Packers’ fans who do we root for this weekend? The 2-0 team within the division or the 2-0 team who most believe to be the front-runner for home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs? Maybe we hope for a tie?
Good question. The Packers will get two cracks at the Lions, so if you’re pushing for the top seed in the NFC, you probably root for Detroit to win this one. The Packers will probably have to beat the Lions twice to be in the top-seed mix anyway.
OK, folks, my hour is almost up. I’ll take a few more.
Comment From Joe
Why do you think that there are less and less quality Offensive Line men in the league? College offensives, CBA, or both?
I’m no scout, but I think the proliferation of spread offenses in college must have something to do with it.
Comment From Matt W
Baseball has set the record for most number of HRs in a season and is on pace for over 6000. Do you think it’s really the launch angle, or is it the new ball, or something else?
Both of those, plus nobody takes the old “two-strike approach” anymore, because strikeouts are shooting up at just as high a rate.
Comment From Steve
Cubs or Brewers win the division ??? Big four game set coming up …
Cubs have been hotter than heck since the Brewers swept them, so it’ll be tough for the Crew. I don’t mind seeing the Rockies take some more losses, though.
Comment From Ethan
See, if Wes joined, we would close out with Game of Thrones questions instead of baseball.
He’d love that.
Comment From Ray L
Just beat Bengals, and take solace in the fact that either the Lions or the Falcons will have a loss on Monday.
I like that for today’s last word. Thanks everybody. Have a good week. Take care, Mike
